Duties and Responsibilities:
They must anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control workplace conditions that may cause workers’ injury or illness. They follow government rules and make sure that workers can avoid even the smallest hazard possible.
You at least must have a degree in Biology, chemistry, mathematics or physics to get a job as a Industrial Hygienist. Also you must take classes in air quality, risk assessment and environmental health law.
I don’t think it will be a job i have interest in doing because even though i love science and very knowledgeable when it comes to it, it really doesn’t focus on the section i love. Plus it also puts you at risk of getting sick on a daily basis because you are dealing with hazard chemicals.
